Finding a therapist is about goodness of fit - someone who you DO NOT have to educate about your professional life - which coincidentally is your private life as a wilderness professional. I speak your language! I have worked in the wilderness industry for 25 years working from student, to assistant instructor to Program Director. Most recently I was a Field Supervisor at SUWS of the Carolinas for 7 years and then clinical director at another program.

The wilderness industry  is  a world described by acronyms - which only those involved understand. It is transient by nature and requires a special individual to complete the many responsibilities expected of you - ( while trying to maintain your personal life.) You work 24 hours a day for the duration of your course. While it is common to say - I will do ... XYZ to take care of myself while in the field - that is often the first thing to go while you are managing a situation. If you leave your course with unfinished business or unprocessed thoughts - it is REALLY hard to live your personal life FULLY. You know as well as I do - that you can NOT take care of others - unless you take care of yourself!

Contact me today - I offer a special wilderness professional rate!
